That's fine with me (Adolphus), but I think MTT wanted to get away from the convention crowd.

Either is fine, but yes the convention crowd usually crams up all the hotel bars, so a short cab ride for me is OK.

Thanks to sarge, jill and her husband for a wonderful time (and thanks to Sarge for picking up my tab). If I had known you were paying, I would have skipped that 7th martini

Funny story. Jill dropped me off at the hotel, and her husband had to meet us there because her tire was deflating. So I get out of her car at the Adolphus, and the guy who works the front door at the Adolphus who saw me leave said, "Oh I see you found someone to give you a ride back."

Before I could say anything, Jill gets out of the car. About ten seconds later, Jill's husband appears, and the Adolphus guy asks me, "Now who is that?"

I said, "Oh, that's her husband."

Without missing a beat, the Adolphus guy opens the front door for me, and as I go by he whispers, "Man, you are trouble, aren't you? I'm going to have to watch you."

I didn't have the heart to tell him the real story, so I just left everything open to his imagination.

We did have a nice time. It was so fun to meet MTT and Sarge56 (again).

I've just returned from getting my tire fixed. It had a large razor blade type hazard in it.

I'll work on posting the pic.

mtt- too funny! hahaha I love it.

We had a really good time. (Dang, the mojitos were good!) Too bad nobody else could join us. It was a delight to meet mtt and to see he is back to fighting weight.

And good to see jill and her SO (who is a riot, by the way!... Zanzibar! I'm still laughing about that!)
