Creepy Cruise Question

Last year my husbands secretary and I went on RCCL on a Caribbean cruise. Something has been bothering me since the trip.

We both had our own charge card and running tab for drinks, etc. The burning question is...each night in our room she would drink a diet coke out of the mini fridge. When it came time to settle the bill, they were all correctly billed to her account. Now, how the heck did they know WHO had the diet coke? In the privacy of our own cabin no less....

This is an easy one and it's not very sinister. Whichever account was checked in first is the "default" account and any room charges not signed by either you or your cabinmate would go to that account. It just so happens it worked out. It could have just as easily been charged to your account!

Your suspensions are due to one thing:

Real World, Big Brother,Survivor,Date My Mom, The Bachlor, Bachlorette, Osbournes, The Millionaire, and who hasn't tuned in to watch Anna Nicole Smith feed her dog fried pickels?
Or watch Super Models dive into frigid waters to then go on to eat worms?!

We are now all thinking cameras are lurking! Especially with all these stupid pop-up ads trying to sell you tiny cameras to spy on people. Our culture is getting downright creepy all right! Here I am writing to God- knows-who my observations about our culture! How creepy is that? ha.

This is very easy to explain. They had your eyes on your cabin.

Needless to say, cruise liners flagged under nations with less than reputable privacy legislation for the sake of minimizing legal liability only breed interest in the tech-savvy members of the crew to have a little fun. Think web cams.

The bill was only their way of saying hello, thank you for the good time and juicy jpegs, etc.

What is considered profane under US law is not such a big, nor prosecutorial matter, under Panamanian law.

Looking forward to seeing you on cruisegirlsgonewild.com!

"My husband's secretary and I" were sent away on a cruise? Is there a third woman in the picture?

You guys are too much...better I went with her than him. Right? We weren't SENT, we went.

If they had cameras in our cabin they probably died of boredom....

Big brother is not far off. Right now we are at a campground/Howard Johnson's in Texas and they have a closed circuit TV system and you can watch the people in the pool, rec room, exercise room, you name it. The entire place is wired for video.

Now THAT is creepy.
Did you know before you went? Is it in the brochure that it's the case? Why do they do it?

RCCL...Royal Caribbean Cruisie Line.

Didn't know about the closed circuit until we were checking in and they handed us a TV schedule. I guess it's partially for security purposes. Like I want people watching me huff and puff on the treadmill.
