Hi
Where would it be best to see cranberry harvest in NE?
Would we see them as we drive along anyway?
(In NE October 12th to 21st)
Cheers

My inlaws lived on a lovely bog in Centerville MA on the Cape for many yrs. The trouble was we never knew exactly when the harvest would take place. It took place within a 3 wk time period in Oct. and they just walked out back every day to check if the bog had been flooded and if that was the day...
This good website says harvest can take place anywhere from mid-Sept. to early Nov. on the Cape.

You can take a tour of the bogs. We went last fall - I think it was Betty's tours. She met us at the Plymouth info center and we followed her in our own car (there were 4 of us). she has permission to drive on private property where the bogs are located. It was third weekend in Sept and they weren't harvesting on Sunday so if you go, make sure they will be harvesting. She said later on they would be harvesting 7 days a week.
