Courtyard Marriott

Has anyone visited the Courtyard by Marriott north of Dupont Circle? It is on 1600 Conneticut St. Is it on a busy or noisy street?

Are you sure that is not Connecticut Avenue? If so, that is a main artery to northwest DC.

Connecticut Ave is a busy street, but not too noisy. If you want a room on the street, you might hear occasional honking. But if you get a room anywhere else, noise shouldn't be a problem AT ALL. (They'd probably be pretty honest if you just asked the manager - they want you to be happy after all!)

BLN or ALL,

If you had stayed, how were the rooms like? The service? Would you recommend them?

You might try posting a more specific subject next time. I'll bet 90% of the readers skip over posts w/ out locations in the name.

I stayed at this hotel once. The rooms are quite small, but otherwise it's OK. I prefer to be closer in to Dupont Circle for nitetime restaurants and walking around.

You can get a better hotel on Priceline for less.

I'm always amused by these posts about Priceline. For all we know, turtlepace as been offered a suite there for $6 a night. Or maybe he/she has a coupon for a FREE stay there. How can anyone say that Priceline would offer a better hotel for less without even knowing what deal this person already got?

So true, Patrick. It might also be possible that this person needs a room for four people or might not be sure that her plans won't change and she might need to cancel. Priceline is not the end-all for everyone's possible travel plans.
