Thank you in advance for your time and comments. My questions are the following:
We will be in Arizona for 10 days, we will spend 7 days in a timeshare in Sedona. We plan to do a lot of hiking and nature trails, I keep reading about a Red Rock Pass and was wondering if someone can tell me exactly what this covers since I do see a lot of the places we will visit charge a fee ranging from $5.00 pp to $15.00 per car.
We will also visit the GC from Sedona and I have also read about going in through the East entrance or coming out of it to get the best views can someone please tell me which is the best way to maximize its beauty, we are not in a rush since we will be spending a night at the GC during our stay in Sedona.

This should answer your questions about the Red Rock Pass. As I recall, we bought ours at a 7-Eleven.

The Red Rock Pass appears to be a federal thing. Such as for parking in national forest parking areas, etc.
You may or may not get a discount with it in places such as Crescent Moon Picnic Area.
However, if you have a National Park senior pass you don't need a Red Rock Pass.
As far as GC (not really one of my favorite places compared to the others) is concerned, it depends on the time of day when you're entering.
I got there late in the day and came in the east entrance. The sun was in my eyes at most of the viewpoints.
If you plan on arriving when the sun is high in the sky it doesn't matter.
You will see nothing when driving. It's all visible when you stop at the various viewpoints.

We were just in Sedona last weekend. You can buy the passes at most of parking areas, there are automated machines that spit out the pass...enjoy it is beautiful!

Go in the South Entrance at Grand Canyon. The viewpoints around Grand Canyon Village are more spectacular than the views at the East Entrance - you can exit via the East Entrance and stop at Wupatki and Sunset Crater National Monuments on the way back to Sedona (or wherever your next stop is).
Reason I say enter at South and exit at East is that the viewpoints become a bit redundant after a couple hours, and I think your first view should be one of the most spectacular viewpoints. If you start at the East entrance you will run the risk of being over it by the time you get to the better viewpoints.
As for the Red Rock Pass, myer is correct in that if you have the interagency America the Beautiful Pass you will not need the Red Rock Pass. But you will still need to stop and get a thing to hang your pass from the windshield so it's viewable, otherwise you can get a ticket for not displaying a pass.
When I bought my Senior pass at a national park entrance, i asked for a mirror hang tag and they have them.
When you hang it from the mirror reverse it so the back with the number shows. A ranger told me to use it that way.
I still have that hang tag though it has been reinforced since.

Thank you very much that is what i was looking for (entrance to the park). I think I will look into buying the America the Beautiful pass since in the long run may come out the same price wise and at least I can use it when I come back home.

In truth - you do not need a Red Rock Pass at all in Sedona right now. The pass program was ruled illegal by a Federal Judge and is currently undergoing revisions. While the USFS here will tell you that there are still certain locations where a fee is required, the only legal ones are the cultural sites of Honanki, Palatki and V Bar V. If you wish to enter any of the 3 private concessionaire day use sites in Sedona, a whole NEW pass is required to be paid to the private company that runs them. And they do not honor the ATB pass either though that will work anywhere else in Sedona.
