Could you spend 3 weeks in Sun Valley?

I am looking for a place in the mountains to rent a condo for 3 weeks and be certain that there is enough to do while still enjoying time in a small town.
I will be by myself and enjoy hiking, local theater, live music, festivals etc. For this reason I have always enjoyed time in Snowmass/Aspen, Steamboat Springs and Whistler - to give you an idea...
Should I consider Sun Valley? Will there be enough to do?
Given I will be on a bit of a budget am I more likely to find accomodations in Ketchum vs. Sun Valley?
Many thanks for all your help!

Colle...I could happily spend SIX weeks in Sun Valley in the summer. There is lots to do, including the Sun Valley Summer Symphony concerts, the Arts and Crafts fair, the farmers market every Tuesday in Ketchum and Thursday in Hailey (I think...). The hiking and biking are wonderful, and the weather is ususally flawless -- warm days, cool nights. i would suggest looking in Ketchum for a more affordable condo situation, and look for something with easy access to the great Wood River Trails bike path.

My family has been vacationing in this area for 50 years; my parents are there right now for a month, and busy every day. Have a ball!

I would love to spend 3 weeks there. Great hiking in the Sawtooth's (beautiful drive from SV to Stanley). River rafting on the Main Salmon or Middle Fork.

I have been to Sun valley... its nice... but if this was my 3 week vacation, I would be going to Jackson Hole....

Ive done it many times, by myself, great little town, lots of hiking in Grand Teton and Yellowstone.

There is a big classical music festival, Im thinking its in August as well as many local bands that play at the pubs.

Plenty of condos to rent as well.

If you change your mind, let me know, I will give you more details.

Have a great trip, where ever you end up!

Hi Laura
Well since I got your email I have been looking at Jackson Hole and it looks really interesting. (I am not married to Sun Valley). Any thoughts you could provide would be most appreciated and then I will have to look for accommodations.
Can you recommend a condo where I can rent a studio apartment or a hotel on the "less expensive" side?
many thanks
