Looking for a destination spa in CT for a "girls'" overnight celebrating our 40th birthdays. I've looked at lots of reviews, but they're all over the place--so mixed that they're not much help, and who knows if some of the writers are those impossible-to-please types. Norwich? Mohegan Sun? Water's Edge? Any input is appreciated.

Norwich spa has a very nice relazing feel to it. I just did an overnight there and stayed in one of the villa rooms. Not 5 star, but nice and roomy. I like that you don't have to leave the spa for anything if you don't want to-- the food at the restaurant is very good. The spa itself is not amazing, but it is nice and the treatments are very good.
Mohegan has a nice spa and the casino has some great restaurants and nightlife. I guess the question would be "do i want a spa weekend" or "do I want a girls' weekend and do some spa while I'm there?" If it's the former, i'd choose norwich.
Water's edge has a new spa and i have not used it, but my DH has and he said it was ok. I think the rooms at waters edge are not so great and I really don't like the food there.
Hope that helps! have fun!
