Hi Joanel
I love the Gris! We just moved from CT to NC and I really miss Essex. I would stay at the Gris because it is in town and you can walk to the shops and other restaurants...though the Gris food is wonderful. I thought the Bee and Thistle was good, not great but I was in my first trimester at the time so I may not be the best to ask about that one but I have been to the Gris many times. The Gris has an amazing Sunday brunch. Have fun!
we just got back from a night at the Griswold Inn. It is okay but not great and the price is up there. Besides their restaurant there are not any other dinner places in town, so have to drive anyway.
years ago we stayed at bee and thistle. would probably try there again if in the area. The grounds at bee & thistle are much nicer.
