Considering flying out from California for the Stones concert at MSG - I do not have tickets but will check into craigslist - my question is: keeping in mind the exorbitant ticket prices, is there a happy medium for second or third tier seats that would still be desirable locations for concert viewing in the garden that won't cost $1000?

The Stones are NOT playing in NYC at MSG. Their only local performances are scheduled fo the Prudential Center in Newark NJ
And there is no way I would buy tickets on Craig's list for anything. There are a huge number of scams - and unless the person would meet you at the venue - so you could be sure the tickets are legitimate before paying - I would not even consider it.
For sold out performances stubhub.com is reliable and not as badly priced as some of the other scalpers.
My mistake - woke up tired this am - can anyone shed light on seating at the Prudential Center (and I stand corrected, I, too, wouldn't touch tix thru craigs - will check out Stub)..thanks, for the corrections
