Colorado Trip in August, 2016

I have book a trip to Colorado Springs in August with my boyfriend. First time ever in Colorado. I'm very excited. I plan to do some hiking, rafting and maybe a bike tour or ATV ride. I will also be renting a car and driving to Denver. Can anyone give me some info as far as what to do in Colorado Springs and Denver? I have heard Garden of Gods and Pikes Peak are both a must see in the Springs. How about Denver? Also, I'm a foodie. If anyone can recommend any good places to eat in both Colorado Springs and Denver, that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

This is a recent thread and has some ideas. Celestial Seasoning is in Colorado Springs and offers a free tour. They also have a cafeteria that has some tasty food.

Maybe take a look at the linked info and you can kind of drill down on your questions.

Also, maybe give us an idea of what your interests are. West of Co Springs is a nice rafting area (see Salida Co/Browns canyon).

Thank you both for you quick responses. I'll check out the links provided. My interests are definitely site seeing/ hiking and definitely a bike tour, just now sure where would be best.

Celestial Seasonings is in Boulder--don't know of one in the Springs.
I would choose Rocky Mountain National Park over things in CO Springs. The other thread(s) have a lot of info on them.
