Colonial Williamsburg for Thanksgiving

Jump to last reply

Hi - we're looking at Colonial Williamsburg for a Thanksgiving trip this year. We spent a week there many years ago in the height of the summer heat and had a fantastic time. A few questions for anyone who's been there for Thanksgiving or lives in the area:
1) is the area decorated for Christmas right after Thanksgiving ala Disney so we'd see the holiday decorations?
2)are restaurants open on Thanksgiving?
3)we stayed at Kingsmill on the prior trip - is it still as great as we remember?
4)we understand the weather to be in the mid-50's to mid-60's...is that a fair assumption?

This will be just my husband and me on the trip so any suggestions on things to see (our last trip had youngsters in tow) would be great as well.

Thanks!
