Cleveland Ohio 4th of July Suggestions
We will be in Cleveland for the 4th of July. We are trying to get ideas on where to attend festivities on the 4th. Are there any can't miss towns around Cleveland that have good 4th of July celebrations ? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!

Absolutely don't miss the 4th celebration at Blossom Music Center! You can choose the 3rd or the 4th. If you have never been there, it is great. You can pay to be seated in the pavillion where it is closer to the stage and covered OR you can pay $19 pp and bring lawn chairs and seat your self on the lawn. This is what we always do. If on the lawn (not in the pavillion)you can bring a cooler with food and drinks. We just bring a small holder with 2 bottles of wine and some cheese and crackers. It is a wonderful evening! http://www.clevelandorchestra.com/tickets/index.aspx

Thank You for your suggestion but we were looking for something going on in a town nearby. For instance, every year we travel during the 4th of July holiday and always look for small towns or unique places to go. One year we were in North Carolina staying at Ocean Isle and were told to go to Southport. What a great experience! Small town atmosphere, there was a parade, then fireworks afterwards. Last year we were in Topsail Beach and were told to go to Hampstead for fireworks. We were looking for something like that. I'm aware that there will be fireworks in The Flats, but we were concerned about crowds etc... are you from the Cleveland area? We had been to Put In Bay before for the 4th ,but didn't want to fight the crowds this year. Any other suggestions would be welcomed, Thank You !

The Flats is not what it used to be, they have nothing of interest anymore. What I suggested is no more than a half hour from Cleveland, depending on where you are staying, It is Cuyahgoa Falls Ohio and will draw crowds but it's not bad...yes, we live here and we go yearly.

My husband was wanting something more low key. Just someplace to see some fireworks and enjoy the 4th. We were thinking maybe Vermillion, we have been there before, but never for the 4th. Just looking for something small town with maybe a festival, parade etc....any ideas????
