Cleveland 3 days using public transit only. Cycling?

I live in Montreal; my parents live in Washington DC. To mix things up when I visit them in June, I thought I'd catch Greyhound from DC-Cleveland, then Greyhound from Cleveland-Toronto and then VIA Rail Toronto-Montreal. Probably sounds like your idea of hell, but I've done this sort of thing before and it actually sounds like fun to me.

Anyhow, so I won't have a car and I've never been to Cleveland. My plan for Cleveland is generally this: arrive late on a Thursday (June 23rd), stay through the Sunday, leaving Monday morning.

As a general plan to occupy myself over the 3 days: One (or two) days: I thought of exploring downtown, W 4th Street, The Flats, Warehouse District, visiting the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and perhaps the Great Lakes Science Center. One (or two) days: Take the Red Line out to either University Circle or Euclid East 120th Red Line stops to explore the University Circle area, checking out the Cleveland Museum of Art, Botanical Garden or Museum of Natural HIstory time-permitting (I need to read up and see which of these most appeals). Any thoughts on something I've missed or where of the two areas you would focus your attention more on?

If the weather's nice, I thought it might be fun to cycle along Lake Erie (like I did along Lake MIchigan in Chicago a few years back) if there are cycling paths and bike rental somewhere. Looking at maps, it looks like there is the Port of Cleveland and perhaps it's too industrial for this, but if anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate that.
