Cinco De Mayo San Antonio

How hard will it be to get reservations for dinner in the downtown/Riverwalk area on Saturday? Our flight arrives at approximately 3:00 p.m. and we were thinking about dinner at around 6:00. Looked at opentable and didn't really see anything that was mexican. Recommendations are appreciated. We have a max of $25 for dinner before alcohol and tip. There will be five in our party. We are in town until Wednesday and need suggestions for the rest of our stay. We all like steak, burgers, and Italian. Thanks!!

Why don't you just pick a place and try to get the reservation?

There is a web site I think it's called Chow Hound (I'm not all that familiar with it - but have heard of it). You might check it out - I know it's kinda like Fodor's except it's all about restaurants. People will give you local restaurant advice.

$25 total for 5 people? Adults and kids or all adults? San Antonio has reasonable prices for dinner but I don't think you can feed 5 people dinner at a sit down restaurant for that.

These will not be that cheap but Mexican downtown:

Rosario's (doesn't take reservations)

El Mirador

Mi Tierras

La Margarita

We can spend $25 per person. Where should we attempt to get a reservation or seating for dinner in the Riverwalk area?

These are all downtown. I cannot recommend any mexican food on the riverwalk. My family's favorite is Rosario's.

I don't think Rosarios and Mi Tierras take reservations, but doubt you'll need them at 6pm. I don't have time to look it up for you as I am about to leave. Those two are louder. If you want a quieter experience, choose El Mirador. La Margarita is near Mi Tierras and they take reserations. Very touristy; haven't been there in years.
