I will be visiting Cincinnati for a weekend trip soon. I've never been there before, so I'm looking for some advice on evening adult activities (i.e. trying to avoid crowds of families with children). Is there an area where nightlife (bars, cafes, clubs) is concentrated? If so, are there any nice hotels within walking distance? Or is everything scattered around? If everything is scattered, is it easy to hail a taxi on the street or would it be easier to drive/park? Also, if all the nightlife is scattered around, what hotel (preferably 3 to 4 stars) would you recommend? Also, let me know if you have any recommendations on day-time things/places to check out. Thanks so much!

You'll want to visit Newport on the Levee, just across the river. (www.newportonthelevee.com) I am partial to the Tropicana for eats & there is also a HofbrauHaus there. If I were staying downtown, my first choice would be the Hyatt. There is also a Westin & a Hilton. You can also walk to the ballpark from there.
