Christmas Day Walt Disney World

Is it very crowded on Christmas Day. Also if we had to pick only one park to visit which should we pick for two 50 year olds.

I have never been there on Xmas day but I have been told that it is THE busiest day of the year.

I am close to your age and I would most likely go for Epcot.

Expect shoulder to shoulder everywhere.

Went last year over Christmas. Never again. We were warned but went anyway. Crowd ruined the entire experience. I'll never get my DH to go back.

I've gone at Christmas time twice in the past three years. But we do not go the any park ot Downtown Disneyon Christmas day; we just open presents, go out to eat, go to a movie. I did not find the crowds nearly as bad around Christmas as the time we went at Easter - but then, as I said, we don't go to the parks on Christmas Day.

Sea World is not as crowded on Christmas Day as the Disney and Universal Parks are. Any interest in going there? We went to Discovery Cove at Seaworld on Christmas Eve one year.

See this website for crowd levels - xmas day looks pretty bad, if you can go the 23rd it looks much better:

ditto on Epcot.

EPCOT!

P.S. Start your visit to EPCOT at the rear of the park (World Showcase) and then, over the course of the day, work your way up to the front (Future World). 90-95% of the visitors will do just the opposite (i.e. see first things first) and you should encounter fewer crowds and slightly shorter lines (comparatively speaking).

As an alternative to one of the parks (all are extremely crowded) one year we rented a pontoon boat from the Contemporary Hotel and cruised around the 7 Seas Lagoon after having a late lunch. It was a very relaxing but fun day.

We were In Disney World this past weekend. It was the most crowded I have seen in a while. It was awful we couldn't do much of anything. We park hopped over to Epcot, it was just as bad. Stay way for Christmas. You won't enjoy yourself.
