We will be spending several days at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chigago and would appreciate hearing your favorite places within walking distance. Any cuisine or price range, but perferably local rather than chain.

Right across the river, behind the Tribune Tower,Volare, very good Italian, outdoor seating too. Easy walk from Hyatt.
Try La Madia on Grand Avenue for amazing thin crust pizza. Also, Shaw's on Hubbard has a great bar with live music and really good seafood , the other side of the restaurant is more upscale. If the weather is nice you may want to go to the Grill in Millenium Park too.
Thank you!
I assume that we will have a tough time finding anything at all on Sunday and Labor Day?
I am going to second Volare. In the downtown area I don't think that Sunday or Labor Day will be an issue.
Any good places for an Italian beef sandwich in the neighborhood?
A major city should have plenty of places open on holidays.
Volare was the best food of the trip.
But it was so cold inside and too humid to sit outside.
