Hi,
My wife and I are going to Chicago in June to celebrate our Anniversary. We want to stay at the Four Seasons or the Ritz Carlton. I know the Ritz Carlton is also owned by Four Seasons.
If anybody has stayed at either or both hotels, that would be wonderful if you can tell me how the service was, rooms, location etc. The hotels seem fairly similar, and are basically in the same location, so I can't decide which one to stay at.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance.

Stayed at the Four Seasons a number of years ago, I remember the 7th floor lobby being very quiet, kind of dead. The high floor room creaked from the wind, kept us up most of the night.
I would go with the hotel that gave you the best price.
I'm sure both will give you a luxury experience and both rate well on Tripadvisor.
The two hotels are a block apart on Michigan Avenue, so there's virtually no difference location-wise. The decoration at the Ritz is a bit more contemporary while the Four Seasons is more traditional.
For 2011, Condé Nast Traveler gives the FS a score of 91.1 and a 90.3 to The Ritz. In 2008, the Ritz was named Condé Nast's Best Hotel in the US for the 7th time. So as the above post says, either will give you a top-notch experience.
Thank you both for your replies, it is greatly appreciated.
