My husband and I played tourists in Chi-town today, which was fun since we don't get in enough from the burbs.
I want to highly recommend to anyone coming in from out of town (or to other Chicago area residents) to check into Chicago Detours. We did the Inside the Loop tour this morning, which was altogether awesome. www.chicagodetours.com
Afterwards we had lunch at Miller's Pub. I had never been there before, and also really enjoyed it.
Walked around a bit, stopped at Garrett's for Chicago mix, and it was time to head back home. But man what a day. We live in the greatest place in the world!

I totally agree with you. We have everything one could want in Chicago. I always say if you can't get it in Chicago you can't get it anywhere. Sounds like a FANTASTIC day!
Sounds like a blast. I WISH I lived in this wonderful city!
I'd also suggest a walking tour with the Architecture Foundation...http://caf.architecture.org/...did this last winter and it was awesome!
