Chicago: Clark & Lake Street Subway Stop
How far is the Clark & Lake Subway stop via taxi to Wrigleyville? I am arriving at 10:15 AM on a Wednesday and was wondering if it would be easier and the same price wise to take a cab from ORD to Wrigleyviile - or cheaper/faster to take Blue Line train to Clark/Lake and then take a taxi from there to Wrigleyville. Also is is difficult to get a taxi at Clark/Lake? What neighborhood is Clark/Lake located in? Thank you !

Clark/Lake is just south of the river, in or near the Loop, with plenty of taxis available. Theoretically, there might be a blue line stop closer to Wrigleyville (West of Wrigleyville). I just don't know those neighborhoods or likelihood of getting a tax.

At the risk of showing more of my ignorance, it appears the red line may be a couple blocks to the East. Perhaps Happy or someone can explain the ease of connection. It's not a bad walk, but may be a bit of a hassle with lots of bags.

Thank you all again. My concern is that I am traveling with luggage ( heavy, cumbersome) and large bag. I would need an escalator to navigate IF I decide to take a subway. Other option is taxi from airport.

A taxi from ORD to Wrigleyville is going to be at least $35-40 with the airport fee and bag fee.
If you're not in a rush and able-bodied, even with heavy bags, you can take the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) BLUE Line train to Clark X Lake. (There is an elevator at both O'Hare and Clark X Lake; the BLUE line is the only train from O'Hare.) Then, a taxi to your Wrigleyville location should be about $15-17 (including the tip). The CTA Blue Line fare from O'Hare to anywhere is now $5 on pay-per-use cards ($2.25 for a regular ride and a $2.75 "premium" charge for the airport). You are exempt from the "premium" charge if you use a 1 or 3 or 7-day pass.
However, if you're feeling good, and you buy a CTA "day" pass, once you arrive at Clark X Lake (you will be underground at this point; above ground from ORD, then becomes subway), you have a couple transfer options depending on your final destination. At Clark X Lake, you can take the underground pedway from the BLUE Line to the RED Line, and take that north to WRigley Field/Addison Street stop. Or you can elevator up to street level and walk the block to Dearborn Street and catch the 22 or 36 bus northbound. If you give us approx. street coordinates, we can help better. Wrigleyville is sort of a biggish area.
You can buy day passes or "pay per use" cards at the CTA Vending Machines at O'Hare.
I like to take the Blue line from O'Hare to Logan Square stop, elevator up to the street, and walk the 30 feet or so to the 76 Diversey Bus going eastbound. It will take you to a nice, lively, safe Lincoln Park neighborhood (Diversey and Clark) and your taxi (plentiful) to Wrigleyville should be closer to $10.
But perhaps, GO Airport Shuttle service will take you to your door for the least hassle and may be an idea if you need to do a roundtrip back to the airport. They usually offer a $2 off offer somewhere on the site, or you can search Groupon for special offers.

Are you staying near Wrigley or downtown? At a hotel or with friends? I'm just confused why you would go all the way downtown to get to Wrigleyville from O'Hare, unless you were first dropping your bags off downtown. But it doesn't sound like you are. So in that case, you're better off taking the blue line to Addison and switching to an eastbound 152 bus rather than going downtown.
