Chicago: 3-Day CTA Passes @ $9/ea

Jump to last reply

Earlier this month Chicago-based Groupon struck a deal with the Chicago Transit Authority and bought up 250 thousand of their 3-day passes, giving the transit agency a much need instant infusion of nearly $2 million. CTA charges $14 for the pass but for a limited time Groupon has them for $9 (limit 4/person). The sale started yesterday and runs four more days, or until sold out.

It's a great deal for me as I'm in Chicago about 4 times a year for 3-4 days per visit and use CTA a lot because I never have a car. They would be nice gifts too if you know someone going there on vacation or business -- or for people who live there and use public transportation.
