Chattanooga cabin/lodging for group, one night stay
Hoping someone has a magic solution for me! A big group of us are going to do a triathlon in downtown Chattanooga on August 4. Ten of us were planning to get a cabin somewhere in the area, but it works best for the majority to only stay one night (Saturday, August 3). It would also be great to be fairly close to downtown - definitely within 30 minutes - since the race will start early Sunday morning. We plan to go down early Saturday and spend the day hiking and that sort of thing. We'll probably hang out in downtown Chatt after the race. (We're from Nashville, so most of us have been there several times.)
I'm running into trouble finding a good cabin that's within 30 minutes of downtown that does *not* have at least a two-night stay minimum. I've written a couple of people on VRBO and one of them seems OK with forgoing the minimum, but I thought I'd ask and see if anyone else has an idea!

I don't think you're going to find a good one without a 2 night minimum.
I love the Chanticleer on Lookout Mountain but it's pricey and may not have 10 rooms available - or do you just need 5?
Look at lodging in the Bluff View Arts District. We used to stay in rooms in their buildings, more like a B&B than cabin but great location and nice rooms. If all of you were in one house or near each other it would work.

Oh no, we don't need ten rooms! People can sleep on floors or sofas if needed. We just need space big enough for ten.
Yep, I'm thinking you're probably right on the two-night minimum. For some reason I hadn't thought of Bluff View, though - thanks!
Once you add in cleaning fees, a lot of times it makes more sense to just do the two nights and pay an extra $20-30 per person for the cabin. I'm hoping I can convince some of them to do that. More time around that area is never a bad thing.

Give them a call. They may work a deal to book the full house (there are three houses). It's worth the time to call -

Thanks, starrs! I just left them a message. I'd be kind of surprised if they still had that much space this close to the event, but we'll see!
Being next to Rembrandt's is a definite plus.
