Charming Chicago Restaurant before the Show

My husband and I will be travelling to Chicago the weekend of April 25 (without the kiddies!) and already have tickets to the 8:00 performance of "Chorus Line." We'd love to eat in a charming, romantic spot before the show. Nothing too stuffy or overpriced, but rather a warm atmosphere with quality food and service. I've read some other threads, but most of them are over a year old. Can someone recommend a few places so I can check their menus? We both love a great steak, and seafood as well as Italian fare. Other people have recommended Trattoria #10 and Phil Stefanis. Any other suggestions? Our show is at the Ford Theatre. Thanks!

I agree with the recommendation for Petterino's. For Italian, you can also try Italian Village on Monroe and Dearborn. For seafood, Catch 35 is just around the block from the theatre. The Atwood Cafe always gets high marks as well. It's one block south of the Oriental in the Burnman Hotel.

I just had a pre-theatre dinner at "The Village" at Italian Village. It was tasty, service was good, and prices were reasonable.

I've heard great things about Atwood Cafe as well.
