Charleston with tweens

Planning a short trip with a 14, 12 and 9 year old to Charleston, SC in March. Any recommendations on sights to see and hotels near main attractions? Pool is nice extra to have for downtime. Thank you

I'm sure they would enjoy the Hunley exhibit. The aircraft carrier at Patriot's Point.
And for a funny place to eat, The Wreck in Mt. Pleasant.

There is also a shrimp boat trip somewhere near there that would be interesting. And Hunting Island and Bird Island?

Definitely agree with Patriots Point.

There's the aquarium, a wonderful beach and eateries on Sullivan's island and a short drive north up the 17 takes you to the remaining refuge of Red Wolves (beautiful rare animals) near the ferry pier to Bull Island which in itself is an incredible unspoilt natural environment.

My son loved watching the dolphins whilst eating at Fleet Landing, great fun atmosphere with decent casual food.
