Chair Rentals in Maui

Are chair/umbrella rentals necessary? Are there certain vendors to use/not use? thx

Different B&B's (Lahaina, Paia) and Grand Wailea.

We've rented chairs at Snorkel Bob's but ended up having to buy an umbrella, which we gave away at the end of our trip.
