On Sunday try Jack London's. Katy's Place has like 12 different tkinds of Eggs Benedicts http://www.katysplacecarmel.com/ I like the Dungeness Crab Benedict with spinach.

The restaurant at the Highland's Inn is called California Market. It is wonderful! We have had a few breakfasts there out on the patio. The food is very good and the views can't be beat! ***kim***

It's difficult to be objective about someplace one ate at on one's honeymoon, but you probably should know--whether it means you don't want to miss it, or whether it means you definitely do want to miss it--that the Tuck Box does a heavy tourist trade, in large part because the building is the epitome of Carmel fairy-tale cute. It is one of the most photographed in town. As an only-in-Carmel experience, we enjoyed it very much.
I've always really liked the Forge in the Forest as a place to dine outside when it's warm enough. I didn't know it served breakfast--on a warm morning, it would be great.
If you want to combine breakfast with a drive down to Big Sur, you'd be surprised how many great breakfast places there are there. I may never have had a breakfast entree as delicious as Deetjen's Big Sur Inn's Strawberry Stuffed French Toast. There's also the breakfast/lunch cafe at Nepenthe (forgot its name, but Nepenthe--the main restaurant of which does not serve breakfast-- will give you info about it. Honeymoon connection again. Tremendous view of mountains and the Pacific.) You can also breakfast on a sunny deck on the shores of the Big Sur River at the River Inn (and afterwards, dangle your toes in the river from one of the chairs they have sitting in the river.) The Ripplewood Resort and the Big Sur Lodge at Pfeiffer-Big Sur State Park are also delightful places for breakfast.
