I frequent West Palm Beach area and rent cars thru Alamo (best rates though slightly off-site location - only about 5 mins. from airport) As previous poster points out, airport is small and off-site cars are still very close.

Sorry for trying to help you, Barbie. Your question wasn't clear, so I was trying to get to your SPECIFIC question.
Anyway, for others who might be wondering...the car rental companies listed in the link I posted all have counters in the terminal. But all of the lots are off-site. So, it doesn't matter which one you choose. You have to take a bus to all of them.

I would suggest using Alamo: they are combined at that airport with National and you get to pick your own car. I have found a better selection of cars at PBI than at FLL where Alamo and National have separate inventories.
The shuttle is frequent and the location is very close to the terminal.
