Car Hire at Boston Airport
Thanks to all who have made suggestions for our September Honeymoon. We have now booked hotels in both Boston and Provincetown.
Next, we need car hire for our second week when we will go up to Acadia NP and then into the White Mountains. Can anyone advise if there is anything to chose between the car hire companies at Boston Airport or are they all pretty much the same ?
Thanks

I forget your total itinerary, but if you are staying in Boston first when you arrive (and then if I remember taking ferry to Provincetown), rent the car only for second week - not when you arrive at Logan. Shop around for price, but there are "in town" car rental places that may be closer to your hotel. However, sometimes the prices are higher at these in town places (usually the same companies as at the airport) and/or they are only open business hours M-F.

hey Gizmogirl - I just read some of the threads on your trip. I guess it never dawned on anyone that you may be a gay couple getting marred in Mass- achusettes thi Summer. (if our oversensative legislators allow it).
Regardless, do stay in PTown the 3 nights as planed. Do a whale watch, visit the National seashore, pehaps a drive to Chatham, enjoy the bike trails and experiance Commercial street at night. Check out the site run by the Provincetown Banner before you leave to find out what will be going on during those days. Eat out in Ptown. there are great resteraunts, Consider; The Mews, Chester, The Commons, Cafe Edwige, Front Street and The Martin House. Oh, and every first timer has to eat at the lobster pot!!! Watch for me..I'll be on the water on my boat "Frogs Leap". have a great Honeymoon!!! Ptown is a grand little town, you will both love it!!
By the way, if you want to do some kayaking or go out to the long point beach via water shuttle go to Flyers Marina in the west end of town behind Lorraine's resteraunt - they will take care of you.

Hi, just to put the record straight - my fiance and I are getting married in the UK and then travelling to New England for our Honeymoon. We had heard that Provincetown and Cape Cod had a lot to offer everyone and did not just cater for its gay community!
We are planning on just booking the car for the second week and were just wondering if there was anything to chose between the car rental companies.
Thanks for all your advice and tips.
