Captiva restaurant choice
Hi all
we would like to have lunch on Capriva, and I have heard that both the Green Fish and the Lazy Flamingo are great - which do I choose - any opinions out there
Thanks a lot

There's a "Red Fish Blue Fish" and "Green Flash" (named after the sunset flash of green on the horizon). Which restaurant are you inquiring about?
If it's food you are looking for, not hype, then do steer clear of Mucky Duck and Bubble Room.
I'm guessing you want the Green Flash. Do be sure to check and see these are open for lunch service.

Red Fish Blue Fish has moved to Sanibel. They struggled for two years in an area that was hurricane decimated. Great restaurant doing well now that they are on Sanibel.
Green Flash is on the location of the old Tim's Nook. I am not a fan, mediocre food in a nice location though. I'd do Key Lime Bistro instead. A Captiva survivor. Mucky Duck is really coasting at this point. Food was less than mediocre last visit and the comedy schtick was really wearing thin.
Lazy Flamingo is short a great place for oysters, beer and a break from the beach. The Captiva Lazy Flamingo is my favorite of the small local chain. They will cook your own fish for you, which is a nice touch.
Bubble Room is nostalgic to many but the food is wretched but most show up wrapped up in childhood memories or something, so it survives.
