Cape Cod Lodging near airport
Hello, My husband and I would like to go away for one night to celebrate our 7 yr anniversary without the kids. The catch is the lodging needs to be close to a small airport where we will be flying into. I know the Cape has one in Hyannis but I'm tired of Hyannis. Somewhere a little more romantic, not too pricey and where we can walk to places.

If you are flying to the Cape on a private plane, you can fly into Chatham, which has a small airport. You would need a taxi to take you to the village, where you could stay in several inns,in the village, where you could walk to the fish pier, Lighthouse Beach, shops and restaurants.
Or- you could fly into Provincetown- they do have commercial flights, from Boston, on Cape Air. Again, a taxi would take you to the town, where I would suggest you stay in either the East End or West End, within walking distance of town, but not in the commercial tourist-frequented spot.
I'd suggest googling both towns, a map of the town would show you how close your =accomodations might be, there are excellent choices in both towns, off season.

Nantucket?
The Nantucket Inn (not quaint despite its name) is directly across the street from the airport and has a shuttle that will take you to town.
Despite not being quaint, it has a nice indoor pool, etc.
Or, you can take a taxi into town and stay at any one of many guest houses and hotels.
