Cape Cod Accomodations

I'm looking for a nice place to stay in Chatham (am open to other places on the Cape) for a weekend in October for me and my husband. I'm not much on "old charm" and that is really all I seem to find. I don't mind staying in an old restored home, etc. I just want to feel that it has been updated. Big, clean bathrooms are also very important to me. We're looking to spend no more than $180 a night. Thanks!

Also, Eastham and Harwich are other areas I wouldn't mind staying. Thanks again!

Yeah, if you're not into "old charm", Cape Cod is probably not the place for you......but check out Pleasant Bay Village or maybe the Sandpiper in Harwichport.

The Bradford Inn is totally renovated, and the prices will have lowered by October. I'd also recommend Wequasset Inn, which is a "newer" hotel, but may be too pricey.

I'm with the previous poster -- if you aren't into old charm then you should look elsewhere on the Cape because that's what you'll get on the lower Cape. Wequasset Inn is lovely and redecorated but it is done in an old charm/old Cape way so you probably won't enjoy it.

Most restored homes in that area are historical and the bathrooms will be small.

Yup...if you aren't into old charm you should look for some other vacation spot. You could try the Chatham Bars Inn...they may meet your bathroom requirements but you will be overloaded in old charm and luxury.

In any B&B or Inn you will be overwhelmed by the old charm because, well, that's the charm of those places and the Lower Cape in general.
