Candlestick Park

Thanks to all for you help with my previous 49er questions, I've got one more.

I hurt my foot and it will not be totally healed by game day. I can walk fine but prolonged walking up stadium ramps and stairs might be a problem, does the Stick have elevators/esclators?

Thanks!

Irishdame, they do have at least one elevator... not escalators to my knowledge. I hope someone else answers this more throughly than I. (I've only been there once many years ago.) Good luck!

There is one huge escalator that goes up three floors. Also elevators. But you will have to walk from the bus parking area - not a huge distance but a fair ways to the escalator.

I think there are actually two sets of escalators & each one has one that goes all the way to the top level and one that goes to the middle level.

irishdame,

It doesn't matter whether you take the elevator or the escalator (when they are working), you can expect to do a whole lot of walking at the Stick. I would think this is true of any stadium.

Now, if you have a "disabled" permit, you can park close to the elevator entrance (first base side)near the main entrance to the stadium which would cut down a lot of the walking.

GO NINERS!!!!!

Thanks all for your help!
Curious, I kinda expected to be doing a lot of walking for this whole trip but I'm trying to cut corners wherever I can. I won't have a car and would feel weird using a disabled parking space because I cut my foot on a seashell! Thanks again
GO BUCCANEERS!!!
