Camping near Canton Texas
We are hoping to camp near Canton Texas in early May for the flea market. All of the nice campsites in Canton are already booked. I am looking for something nearby that is pretty ( we don't want a parking lot which a lot of the "campgrouds seem to be) and I have to have nice clean bathrooms! Thanks for any help!

When I look for camp sites of all kinds -- from RV "camping" to national forest campgrounds with little more than pit toilets -- I always go to Woodalls.com . From there you can search near (your choice for distance) just about any town, for any kind of camping (RV or tent) and with many choices for desired amenities.
For instance, here's their list of RV sites within fifty miles of Canton:
http://www.woodalls.com/campground/d...exas&radius=50
When you find a place that MIGHT meet your needs, you can check for reviews of that place before plucking down your money.

There are quite a few campgrounds in town and close by. If you Google Map search Canton, TX campgrounds you will see them. Purtis Creek State Park would be more of a regular campground (not a parking lot). It is about 20 miles away to the SW and just east of Mabank.
You probably know this but even though it is called "First Monday" it really starts on Thursday and a lot of it is gone by Sunday afternoon.

Tyler State Park is certainly a lovely place. It has nice campsites and restrooms. I'm not sure how nearby you are looking for though. It is about 30-40 minutes away.

Well if you are looking for camping near Canton Texas, then there will be lots of choice for you. Although there isn't much than I can add to these great ideas except to say that you should approach a company that would rent you an RV camp. Except it they will explain you all about the facilities and recommendation of trips
