This may sound like a dumb question, but . . .how easy is it to get a cab from the Amtrak station in Philadelphia? Is there a cab stand there, with several cabs waiting? The only reason I ask is that in Boston there really is no cab stand at the Amtrak station so it's not always easy to get a cab . . .Thanks

There is a cab stand at the Amtrak 30th Street in Philadelphia Station and there is generally no problem in getting a taxi. Unless you are comming in at an odd hour, like after midnight, it shouldn't be a problem.

if you're referring to 30th St. Station (Phila.), cabs have their own lane for picking up passengers. Doubt you'll have a problem getting a cab.

There are always cabs at the Amtrak 30th St. station. It's everywhere else in Philly that you'll have a problem.

Respondants are correct in that it's easy to get a cab at Amtrak station. I also have been able to hail a cab from most everywhere I've been in downtown aka Center City Philadelphia as well (Reading Terminal Market, South St., Rittenhouse Square, Italian Market area) with inconsequential waits, even relatively late at night.
