Cab Cost from McCarren to Venetian Hotel?

Will be flying into McCarren late morning and have already been told its best to take a cab directly to the hotel ~ anyone have any idea of how much it will cost one way? Thank you!

Thanks Sylvia ~ we're going to the hotel to pick up our car for the balance of the trip. No matter how you slice and dice it we're looking at one full round trip. Thanks again!

I doubt that the car you pick up at the Venetian will be any cheaper than the car you can pick up from the rental center that has a free shuttle to it.

Probably under $25 with tip. If you are renting a car anyway, it makes no sense not to get it from the airport. Tomfuller is right there. A car in LV doesn't even cost $50 fir a day in most cases.

Thanks Everyone! We're picking up the car and then heading out so it should all be OK. We're not getting the car at the airport for reasons related to the return portion but the pricing on the cab ride is great ~ thanks!

Not sure if this is still a concern but Make sure the cab doesn't take you through the tunnel. It is the long route and ends up costing more.

There are signs at the airport now that clearly indicate that it's more expensive to take the tunnel to certainly hotels.

"It makes no sense not to get the car at the airport".

The airport fees at McCarran are very high so this would depend on for how long a person is renting the car. We saved $220 last year renting from a local location instead of at the airport, and were able to return the car at the airport location.

For the OP: Get a quote/estimate from the cab driver before getting into his cab. Could be $22 to $30 depending on the hour of the day/ traffic. Anything more he's taking you on a joyride.

The taxi signs at the airport give approximate costs for each major Las Vegas hotel. They are sometimes off by a dollar or two, especially if there is a lot of traffic or if you get unlucky with lights (the lights in LV are REALLY long).

Treasure Island cost around $25 during rush hour. Cab driver took the freeway which was bumper to bumper. I suspect he did that on purpose. If its rush hour, take the Strip and think of it as a scenic tour. Will cost around the same of heavy traffic.

TI is right across from Venetian, so expect around the same. Nice hotel. Enjoy.
