Bus at Skagway????
I recently read on this forum that someone had caught a Hop On Hop Off bus when their cruise ship stopped at Skagway. I cannot seem to find anything on-line, nor did Alaska.org know anything. The cost was $10. Anyone aware of this? Thank you very much.

That was what we did when we went a couple of years ago. It was small and went from the dock to town for $2 per trip or you could pay $10 and get on/off all day. There were stops on the main drag and it went to the gold dredge and a couple of other places outside of town. People who were going on the train on their own, used the $2 option.

I don't know the name, but I think it was probably a city bus. We didn't know about it ahead of time, but it was at the dock when we got off the ship and we never had to wait more than a few minutes to get back on it. I would guess that if it were near the time for the ship to leave, it might get a bit crowded. Perhaps it you googled the Skagway visitor's center they might have information on if it is still in use. They ran a nice VC and had a lady on the street corner who was very helpful in finding a shop of some relatives of relatives that I only had the people's name not the shop they ran.
