I've read that it's permitted to build a fire on Seabright beach, in Santa Cruz. Does one simply buy a few logs, and s'mores fixings ... or, can you collect drift wood from the beach. Are there any restrictions that I should know about? Sounds like fun.

You had better get there early to reserve a fire ring, which is the only place that fires are allowed.
No alcohol, no loose animals.
Thx, Rasta. I'm guessing that a fire ring is some sort of concrete circle that will be self-evident when we get to the beach? We won't be arriving until after 4:00 pm, tomorrow, so hopefully there won't be hoardes of people already staking out their claim, to watch the sun go down. I'll also buy a bundle of logs.
