Hi,
I need your advice. I have been searching for youth hostels or backpacker hostels in Maine in the internet now for 4 hours! But there seems to be no hostel.
Do you have any tipps where I could stay on my way up the coast from Boston to Bar Harbour? Preferably I would like hostels with dorms/ cheap rooms as I am travelling on my own and would like keep the accomodation prices low and would love to meet other travellers.

No hostels that I've ever heard of. There are plenty of $40-45 motel rooms in the off-season. When is your trip and what do you mean by a "trip up the coast"? Are you driving a car, hitchhiking, biking, or what? How many days do you have and where are you planning to stop for the night? What time of year?
