Brooklyn February 2013

Jump to last reply

Will be in Brooklyn next week staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites (I think there is only one) with a friend who has a bunch of free nights to use or lose. This will be my first chance to stay in Brooklyn.

Any suggestions for art and/or design venues, odd or quirky shops, indie bookstores and libraries, food or flea markets (I know it's February)? Would welcome Brooklyn restaurant suggestions -- all cuisines, price not necessarily a factor, prefer casual to stuffy.

Plans are pretty open ended. Met, MOMA, American Folk Art, Museum of Arts & Design are on the list. We have reservations at Le Bernardin one night and, I think, tickets to see Cat On Hot Tin Roof. That'll be it for shows.

Am looking at the other recent posts mentioning Brooklyn but thanks in advance for anything else you're willing to suggest.
