Broadway
I am inundated with discount ticket e-mails, but never the top few we might want to see in late May (a Sat matinee).
We really enjoyed discounted "Light in the Piazza" last Apr.
Any thoughts?
Muchas gracias.

There will not be any discount offers for May productions for quite a while. And, for the top-drawing shows (i.e., Wicked, Jersey Boys, etc.), those probably/almost definitely will not be available for discounts in May.
What specific shows are you interested in? Knwoing that, I can better advise your chances of getting discounted tickets.

Check for "Chicago" discount codes at Playbill.com, Theatermania.com, etc.
You'll probably get lucky, as things slow down after Christmas but before New Year's Eve, and Bebe Newirth is scheduled to return to the cast December 31st. But, if you really want to see the show, I wouldn't count on TKTS.

Spring Awakening received an excellent review today in the Post ... I found discounted tickets on
www.broadwayoffers.com
(but for next week, not for May)
It's being called the new Rent.

As others have said, you won't see May discounts until March or April. Since you come to NYC a few times a year, you might want to invest in a membership to TDF (theater development fund) if you qualify. Students, teachers, union members, seniors (62 or over), civil service employees, staff members not-for-profit organizations, performing arts professionals, members of the armed forces and clergy are eligible to become TDF members.

You would still have to wait til closer to your travel dates, but the discounts are deeper than you'll find eleswhere.
Here's a page that lists every way to get discounted tickets.
