Hi ya'll...(is that how you type it?)
Just got back from visiting Brenham, TX. We stayed at a wonderful B&B that I highly recommend. It is called The Ingleside B&B and is run by a mother and daughter team. Ruth is the mother and raised her family there. She is now retired and lives in FL but keeps a small apartment in the back for visiting. Connie, the daughter, is the main hostess. Here is the link:

It is truly a wonderful B&B. Each morning Connie made a gourmet breakfast, which was always amazing and creative. We spent many late nights on the front porch catching up with old friends. One morning she asked if we were doing a little bit of "partying"--we got nervous, but she was only asking to see if we wanted breakfast served later in the morning. She was just wonderful.
As for the rooms, they are quaint and charming. Connie attended to every need, including irons, hair dryers, directions...you name it she provided it.
Brenham is a cute little town, and the Ingleside is walking distance to everything you need in town. If you find yourself there, make sure to stay with Connie!

Hello StephCar
Did you get to the BlueBell Ice Cream factory tour right there in Brenham? It's a real Texas icon, if there ever was one.
Hope you caught a glimpse of some of our beautiful bluebonnets that are really filling the highways. Lots of people were out today, taking photos in the fields.
Love Texas in the springtime!!
And BTW, I've always used y'all - as it's short for you all.
swisshiker, oh right, it's y'all, not the way I typed it (ya'll). I love that Texan expression. Everyone is y'all.
We were there for a wedding, so no tours, but I did indulge in fresh Blue Bell ice cream downtown. It was yummy!
The bluebonnets were so pretty too, the bride and groom were married on a farm surrounded by them. It was really picturesque!!! And no humidity yet down there, the perfect weather. We lived in Houston for several years, and boy do I miss the springtime in Texas....
