Breakfast recommendations on Coronado

Anybody have a recommendation for a good breakfast on Coronado Island in San Diego? Either full breakfast or continental-style - just looking for a place to get some tasty food and good coffee to start the day.

Marie Callender's Restaurant & Bakery. It's on Orange Avenue. Nice for breakfast & lunch.

I don't think Wendy's serves breakfast. I worked there in college and I don't remember any morning shifts, but I have blocked a good portion of it from my memory, so I could be mistaken

How about one of the nice restaurants at the Del? What a nice treat that would be! ***kim***

For a quick bite to eat I would recommend Villa Nuevo Pastery Cafe at 956 Orange Ave. or across the street at Stretch's Cafe at 943 Orange Ave. Another good spot and a bit more upscale is Crown City Bistro at 520 Orange Ave. (just look for the long line if it is a weekend). This is consistently voted best breakfst by the locals.

I prefer Villa Nuevo (formerly Primavera). Great food, and with the new owners, more variety too. You order inside at the counter, then they'll deliver to your table inside or outside.
The Loewes resort has a great Sunday brunch, but it is expensive and is a bit out of town.

Night and Day Cafe on Orange for a 50's style meal but it sort of breaks the rules for current diet trends. Coronado Brewing Co on Orange is a great pub but I don't know if they serve breakfast. The Del has an outdoor dining area overlooking the beach which is probably the nicest spot on a good day.

When we were there last year we had the buffet breakfast at the Hotel Del which was very good. But I have to admit, the breakfast we had at Marie Callenders was also good, and a whole lot cheaper.Just depends what you're looking for.

Hi there,
We had cappuccino and scones at Cafe 1134 (think its at 1134 Orange ave, close to the del) both mornings we were on Coronado. Loved it, and they open at 5:30 am every day. Also, there is a large bagel place (hot and cold bagel combinations) right beside La Avenida. Picked up something for my daughter on the Sunday - line up was huge. Have a fabulous time.
