Any info regarding Branson. Best time to visit with the smallest crowds. Also is there a particular time when more performers are in town?
Certain the two times do not coincide but would be interested in knowing. Thanks!

Late fall & winter are obviously the slowest times. Any other time is going to be VERY crowded. But you can get around it just takes a while. The traffic is horrible and I wouldn't go during the heat of the summer it really is no fun at all. I have been there numerous times over the last 20 years, I don't go to a lot of shows there. Mostly enjoy the lakes and Silver Dollar City (beautiful in the fall). My in-laws, on the other hand, have seen them all! They rave about Andy Williams and Shoji Tabuchi (probably not how you spell). Wayne Newton is a bargain down there compared to Vegas. And don't forget to RIDE THE DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just made this trip the 10th of June. We went on a tour bus, so all our arrangements were premade. Everyone kept telling us of the crowds to expect...there were none! Traffic was light, but the shows we went to were full. Our bus was able to take us back to the hotel between shows instead of fighting the traffic before the next show.
My favorites:
Bobby Vinton- sings the songs I remember from the 60's
Presley's Jubilee - very intertaining
Shoji Tabuchi- very elaborate costumes and background. Show is expensive, but it is
like a Broadway show.
Did not like the Legends.
****Must go to Springfield to the Bass Pro Shop. The store is huge and has every type of sporting equipment and clothing imaginable. You need to spend at least 5 hours there. The exhibits of mounted animals are great. There is also beautiful pieces of arts and crafts for the home...it is very expensive, but beautiful.
