We are planning a two day trip by car to Boston in September. Our main interests are to see the USS Constitution and to walk the Freedom Trail. We are not really wanting to drive downtown and would like to find a hotel located away from city center that is fairly convenient to public transportation. I have been considering the South Boston Courtyard. This particular facility includes complementary parking. I would appreciate comments concerning this facility and location as well as alternate suggestions. Thank you in advance.

Th South Boston Courtyard is not in South Boston nor is it really in a neighborhood where many people would want to stay.
I am sure the property itself is fine because I have never been to a bad Courtyard, but read the reviews on TripAdvisor before you commit.
The Courtyard in Brookline or the one in the Theater District will be much better for sightseeing.
Depending on where you are driving in from and what day of the week/time of day you'll be arriving;
You'd be MUCH better off parking your car at one of the MBTA garages for the 2 days, then taking public transport into the city to a hotel IN the city.
Eg, Alewife T station is on the Red line. It has a good size garage.
or
Riverside T station is on the Green Line.
The overnight parking at these garages/lots is only $10 or so per 24 hours. Once you park your car, take the T into the city and stay IN the city.
