I know the T stop & the Aquarium are close but how close? My husband is on oxygen doesn't mind walking a block or so but not much more.
Also we were wondering which bus-near any T stop would take us on a tour of the Harvard campus area.

The T stop is within a block of the aquarium
Thanks-that is doable. Now we need a bus to take us to areas that the Duck &/or Hop on hop off tours don't go-just to see some more of the area & campus
The Harvard T stop (on the Red Line) is right across the street from the main Harvard yard and the main gate. There are escalators and elevators at the Harvard T station.
There are also numerous bus lines that go to Harvard Square - the bus terminal is right inside the T stop.
Where are you staying in Boston?
P.S. If you're concerned about your husband walking > 1 block to get from the Aquarium T stop TO the Aquarium, I don't know how much you expect your husband can see the Harvard area & campus if he can't walk more than 1 block???
Yes, the Harvard campus in Cambridge is so compact that there is no internal bus service as there might be at a state university, though there are buses from Cambridge to the Medical Area at Longwood or to the Allston campuses like the B School.
The Yard from the Red Line to, say, the Carpenter Center is pretty walkable (two blocks wide) but it is a bit of a distance to the University Museums and glass flowers, so a T bus toward Somerville would be a good idea (sorry, don't know the numbers). The real hard part would be the Houses between Mass Ave and the river.
The Yard, however, contains the historic building, Memorial Church, and Widener/Lamont, so it is most of what people want to see when they go to Harvard.
If you go to www.mbta.com, choose buses, and you can type in an address and find the routes close by.
Or use the T's route planner from where you will be starting off--you can choose subway or bus. You can also do this with Google maps.
Thanks for all the advice. My husband ended up with bronchitis so I went to the aquarium on my own. Heading out of Boston today for somewhere with less humidity.
Sorry to hear that. Did you enjoy the Aquarium?
Where are you headed? Maine?
Good luck, sincerely, on finding anywhere in the Northeast with low humidity this week. If you stand still, mildew will form on your clothes!
