Booking Internet Airfares
Has anyone had any experiences booking through Cheapo,Ultimate, or Kayak either good or bad? I am getting some really good fares to Florida on these sites but have never booked with them and want to know if they are all reliable.

Kayak is solely a search engine. It redirects you to sites to book. It is always good to check the actual website of the airline that is listed as the cheapest/cheapest of interest. Often times, the prices can be $5-10+ cheaper. Sometimes kayak lists a booking agency first or as the only option for the fare. Always worth putting in a little extra effort too.
Don't know anything about the other sites.

I find Kayak posts a lot of very low fares quickly and easily. So it is great to see which airline looks to have the best fares and which times of travel are bringing up those fares. Keep in mind that many times you can go on to book them with Kayak( it really just brings you to the particular airline's site, or to maybe Orbitz or Expedia) and when you go to book them you get a screen saying those fares are not available.
When that happens I don't see it as a total loss, because it makes me then check out all the airline sites and a similar itinerary and can usually duplicate those fares on my own.

Thanks for the info on kayak. I actually attempted to reserve a flight through cheapo and got a price of $124 to Tpa. Thought this was great until I brought up the taxes and fees, $84+. Are they kidding? I wouldn't buy that just on the principle of the thing. Went on Delta and found $179 plus $18.00 in taxes and fees so I got those instead for $198. Just how much are these bargain sites charging for their services? I agree Niblette, just go to the airline sites for the best prices.
