Boise in the summer?
We're looking for a place to relocate. I understand that Boise gets quite hot - especially in July and August. How easy is it to escape that heat by driving into the mountains? How many miles, or, hours, to reach cooler temps?
Thanks for any information you can share!

I live in Mississippi. I went on a 7 day rafting trip on the Middle Fork of the Salmon which is about 6/7 thousand feet elevation. It was hotter there in July than it is here. I love ID though. Good luck.

I live in Utah but have relatives in Boise. The weather there tends to be milder than Salt Lake City--not as cold or snowy in the winter and not as hot in the summer. It is not humid there. There is a river through town with lots of parks and the mountains aren't far away. I enjoy visiting Boise any time of the year.
