My wife and I are visiting Maui at the end of September. I've scheduled a helicoptor tour with Blue Hawaiian. Does anyone have any experience with this tour operator? Can you offer any words of wisdom?
Thank you!

Wife and I were there in May and used Blue Hawaiian. We took the whole island tour. West Maui mountains, around Kapalua/Kaanapali, crossed Ma'Alaea Bay, landed on the SW slope of Haleakala, and then continued around the Hana side back to Kahului. It was expensive, but fantastic. Wife had never been in a helicopter, was a bit scared, but no problems.
If doing it again, I would just do the whole island tour and skip the landing in the middle.
Our pilot was James, excellent. Ask to go up with him. I picked BH because of their emphasis on maintenance (I work for Boeing so it was a concern of mine).
Blue Hawaiian is, by far, the classiest and best helicopter company on Maui.
Aloha! My husband and I went on the Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour and absolutely loved it... a real class act... beautiful music, incredible scenary and service...wonderful people work there. Really enjoyed it...it was the best fun money we spent! Have a great time.
Aloha Jimmy: We have done a BH tour on the Big Island and it was fantastic. We did a tour with s/o else on Kauai and were disappointed. BH spoiled us by telling us what we were seeing, the history of the different areas, bad jokes etc etc. The other company just played music, which was nice but we had no idea what we were looking at.....
May I ask what the trip cost per person? What was the weather like in May? I'm considering taking my kids in early June 2002.
Thanks.
Got to their website; all current prices are listed: http://www.bluehawaiian.com
Weather in May was awesome! Friends went in June and it was awesome for them as well.
