Black Monday! Most Depressing Day of the Year is Coming! Where is the Sun?
Fellow travelers...MSN ran an article today claiming that Monday, Jan. 24th is the most depressing day of the year due to some formula....based on...
The holidays are past, the bills have hit, the weather is cold and depressing, nothing to look forward too...and the New Years Resolutions have worn off....
It's a tie in with people booking their beach trips to boost their spirits!
So, tell me....what are you doing to avoid the Black Monday?
Me, I leave for Las Vegas on Tuesday....coincidence? I think not....
Travel is my Prozac.

beachkomer, oh yes, there is something to look forward to. Sometime down the path we have to get all our records together so we can file our taxes with the IRS. How's that for a depressing thought?

well, darn. We should alert MSN, that their formula needs a 7th variable..and more depressing than they thought. Our W2's are on their way...
So, take heart, tomorrow, we head to Barnes for the latest travel magazine along with a hot latte...smile and realize we're all in the same boat...

well, I'm sure MSN cheered lot of people up with that article, lol. As for me, I have two or three good months left for skiing, a tax refund to look forward to, a spring vacation with my family, time to get my indoor projects finished before the break, time to excercise for the vacation, and two fireplaces to keep me cozy. Not all that depressing from my perspective.. but I'm a "glass is half full person", not woe is me.
Oh, Valentine's Day is coming, St. Patrick's Day(a big one at our house), Easter..the winter sunrise and sunsets are beautiful, and 100 watt lightbulbs and music fix all the rest.

How nice of MSN to remind people to be Depressed!
We will be at a Museum of Fine Arts on Monday, followed by a nice lunch at a very nice Bistro. I will try to remember to be depressed for a moment or two

March is the month I dislike. Something about the ides of March. A couple of days of nice weather teases you into thinking spring is here, bulbs start popping up and then bam freezing temps. again...

My knitting class begins on "black Monday" and I'm going to make something to wear for the upcoming Spring/Summer months. Also, I will continue to look at the beautiful spring tulips my DH brought home as a reminder that Spring is just a few short weeks away
