Bethany Beach for kids

Each year at this time we go to Bethany Beach with our children and grandchildren (ages 2 1/2 and 6). We relax and enjoy the fact that it isn't too crowded yet. We stay in Bethany and go to Rehobeth and Ocean City for outings. I am worried, though, because it looks like the weather may not be too great this weekend. Does anyone know of good activities for the grandchildren? And what restaurants have you enjoyed in this area that are kid friendly and good? We are always looking for fish places.
